Application deadline. All materials must arrive at our office before 4:00 PM on this date.

June 1
Announcement of the names of the candidates selected.
Approximately 30 pianists will be invited to play in the competition in Bergen.

Saturday, September 1
6:00 PM Registration / Opening at "Troldhaugen".

The playing order of competitors will be drawn in public. All candidates must be present. 

Sunday, September 2
Round 1 starts at Troldhaugen
10:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Monday, September 3
Round 1 continues at Troldhaugen
10:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Tuesday, September 4
Round 1 continues at Troldhaugen
10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

8:30 PM: The results from Round 1 will be announced.

Wednesday, September 5
Round 2 starts at Troldhaugen
9:30 AM - 8:30 PM

8:00 PM: Dinner at "Fløyen" Restaurant for all candidates.
9:30 PM: The results from Round 2 will be announced.

Thursday, September 6
The Semi-final Round starts at Troldhaugen
11:00 AM - 7:00 PM

8:00 PM: The results from the Semi-final Round will be announced.

Friday, September 7
The finalists will rehearse with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra.

10:00 AM - 14:00 PM: Master class with jury members

7:30 PM: Concert with jury members

Saturday, September 8
A boat trip to Ole Bulls home, Lysøen, for all candidates.
The Final Round will be held in the Grieg Hall with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra-

30 pianists will be selected to play in Round 1 of the competition in Bergen.
12 pianists will be selected to play in Round 2.
6 pianists will be selected to play in the Semi-final.
3-4 pianists will be selected to play in the Final.
