Jan Jiracek von Arnin
Born into a family of musicians, pianist Jan Jiracek von Arnim was described by BBC Music Magazine as one of the leading pianists of his generation. He won the first prize at the Steinway Competition in Hamburg at age ten, and has since performed extensively throughout Europe. Read more
Leon McCawley
As one of Britain's foremost pianists Leon McCawley has forged a highly successful career since winning 1st Prize in the 1993 International Beethoven Piano Competition in Vienna and 2nd Prize at the Leeds International Piano Competition, building on his earlier success as Winner of the Piano Section of BBC Young Musician of the Year in 1990. Noriko Ogawa
Noriko Ogawa has achieved considerable renown throughout the world since her success at the 1987 Leeds International Piano Competition. In the last decade Christian Ihle Hadland has established himself as a true craftsman of the piano, a musician whose delicate, refined playing and individual touch have led him to the most prestigious stages in the world. Lilya Zilberstein
Lilya Zilberstein got her first taste of international success in 1987 when she won the Busoni Competition in Bolzano. Her victory was a sensation – it took five years until the first prize was even awarded again. By 1988, the Moscow-born pianist was able to perform at big tours abroad in the West. Read more

Einar Steen-Nøkleberg (chairman)
A leading Norwegian pianist, Einar Steen-Nøkleberg has made continuous international appearances and more than 50 recordings. Steen-Nøkleberg’s recording of the Grieg Concerto with the London Symphony Orchestra was chosen by the BBC Saturday Review as the best version of this much-recorded concerto. And his recently released monumental recording of all Grieg's piano music is receiving international acclaim. Read more
