Jens Harald Bratlie
Jens H. Bratlie is one Norway’s finest pianists and professor at the State Academy of Music in Oslo. He made his stunning debut in 1965, after studies with Vlado Perlemuter og Robert Riefling in Paris, where he also won the Prime Minister’s Prix in 1967. He is regularly a soloist with all the Norwegian orchestras, and has done several huge international tours, all over Europe, USA and Russia. He has also played with orchestras in USA, Austria, Great Brittain, Latvia and in the Scandinavian countries. Bratlie has also toured many times in the former Sovjet Union, USA and Germany as a soloist.
Bratlie has also achieved an extraordinary reputation as a chamber musician, and has been a member of Oslo Trio for many years. He has done a number of outstanding recordings, among them one of Edvard Grieg’s Piano Concerto, a solo-CD with music of Liszt, Chopin and Schubert, but also recordings with contemporary Norwegian music.
